Terms of Service

The rules for using Social8, in plain language wherever the subject allows it.

Last updated: 26 September 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms #

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Social8 ("Social8", "we", "us", or "our"), and govern your access to and use of the Social8 website, application, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, or by otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to that organisation as well as you personally.

2. Eligibility and business use #

Social8 is built for business use: connecting business social accounts, describing offers or updates, and reviewing and publishing AI-assisted content on behalf of a business.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You must have the legal authority to connect the social accounts, Pages, profiles, or business listings you add to Social8, and the right to publish content to them.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your use of Social8 complies with the laws that apply to your business and to each platform you connect.

3. Accounts and access #

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. You can sign in with an email and password, or with Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and the free trial #

Social8 offers a Free plan, which has no charge and needs no payment method, and paid subscriptions billed monthly or annually, in US dollars. Current plan names, pricing, allowances, and any add-ons are shown on our Pricing page and confirmed again before you are charged; we do not repeat those figures here so this page does not go stale when pricing changes. On paid plans, annual billing is twelve months for the price of ten, about 16.7% less than monthly billing. The Free plan has nothing to bill. Usage allowances reset monthly, even on annual subscriptions.

7 days free. No credit card required. Where a free trial is offered, no payment method is required to start it, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends. When a trial ends you can subscribe or continue on the Free plan within its limits. If a feature is currently offered as early access rather than general availability, the relevant page will say so.

By subscribing you authorise us (or our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis for the plan and billing interval you select, until you cancel. Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise; where required, applicable tax is added at checkout.

Pricing and automatic renewal. Subscriptions are billed at a fixed price for each billing cycle for as long as the subscription remains active, and renew automatically at the end of each cycle until you cancel. On each renewal date we generate the invoice for the new cycle and charge the payment method you have saved with us. By saving a payment method and activating a subscription, you expressly authorise us to charge that payment method the subscription price shown at checkout on each recurring billing date, until you cancel through your account settings or by written request to us. You may revoke this authorisation at any time by cancelling the subscription or removing the saved payment method, effective for charges not yet initiated. We may change the price for future billing cycles by giving you notice before the change takes effect; a price change never applies to a cycle that has already been invoiced.

Invoices and payment methods. Invoices we issue manually, outside the automatic renewal cycle, are due within 14 days of the invoice date. Invoices generated automatically for a renewal are charged to your saved payment method on the date they are issued. Card payments are made directly on the hosted payment page of our payment provider (Airwallex or PayPal); your full card details never reach our servers or database. We store only a provider-issued token or consent identifier, together with the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry month and year, so we can identify the saved method and process future charges. By saving a payment method you authorise us to submit merchant-initiated transactions against that saved consent, in the amounts due under your active subscriptions, until you or we cancel the consent.

Tax details. You must provide a correct tax identification number and, where you claim an exemption, a valid exemption certificate before the relevant invoice is issued. Where we are required to charge them, Singapore Goods and Services Tax and United States state and local sales or use taxes are added to the invoice. We are not responsible for a tax assessment resulting from incorrect information you supplied.

Failed payments, retries and suspension. If an automatic charge fails, we retry it 1, 3, 5 and 7 days after the failed attempt. If the final retry also fails, the invoice is marked uncollectible. We may suspend or restrict your access while any invoice remains overdue and, where permitted by law, may recover reasonable costs of collecting an overdue amount, including third-party collection fees.

Discount and referral codes. Codes are single-use per customer unless the code terms state otherwise, are non-transferable and have no cash value. Each code is subject to the usage limits, eligible plans and expiry date set for it, and we may withdraw or modify a code for future billing cycles at any time. A code can never be applied retroactively to an invoice that has already been issued.

5. Cancellation and refunds #

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access for the remainder of the billing period you already paid for.

Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods. Where a refund is approved, we issue it to the original payment method through the original payment provider used for that charge, or as an account credit where a direct refund is not possible. Cancellation does not relieve you of the obligation to pay invoices already issued. If we materially fail to provide the Service, contact us and we will review your situation individually.

6. Usage allowances #

Each plan includes monthly usage allowances (for example, AI generations, connected accounts, or published posts). Allowances reset monthly, including on annual subscriptions, and unused allowance does not roll over unless we state otherwise on the Pricing page. Add-ons purchased to extend an allowance are billed separately and are not unlimited.

7. AI-generated content #

Social8 uses artificial intelligence, including third-party AI model providers, to help generate captions, images, and other content from the information you provide. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, unoriginal, or unsuitable for your business, and we do not guarantee any particular level of quality, originality, accuracy, or business outcome (such as engagement, followers, bookings, or sales) from using it.

  • You are responsible for reviewing every AI-generated draft before it is scheduled or published, including checking prices, dates, claims, names, and any factual statements.
  • You are responsible for the content you approve and publish through the Service, including its accuracy and its compliance with the law and with each destination platform's rules.
  • Do not rely on Social8 to verify facts, legal claims, or regulated statements (for example, health, financial, or safety claims) on your behalf.

8. Your content and the licence you grant us #

You retain ownership of the text, images, and other material you upload or approve ("your content"). You grant Social8 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, resizing an image for a destination platform), and transmit your content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service for you, and to publish it to the destinations you authorise. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept in backups for a limited period, or where retention is required by law.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights to your content and to any brand assets, images, or testimonials you upload, and that providing them to Social8 and publishing them does not infringe anyone else's rights.

9. Connected third-party platforms #

Social8 helps you publish to third-party social and business platforms that you connect. Each platform is a separate service operated by its own company, under its own terms, and your use of it through Social8 does not change your obligations to that platform. You agree to comply with the current terms of each platform you connect, including:

Platforms change their features, review processes, and rules without notice to us. We are not responsible for a platform rejecting, delaying, removing, or restricting content, suspending your account on that platform, or changing what its API allows Social8 to do. Disconnecting a platform in Social8 stops future publishing to it and deletes the access tokens we stored for that connection, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Acceptable use #

You agree to use Social8 in line with our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits things like spam, misleading claims, fabricated reviews or testimonials, illegal content, and abuse of automated publishing.

11. Suspension and termination #

You may stop using Social8 and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by a connected platform or by law, if we reasonably believe your account poses a security or legal risk, or for non-payment after notice. Where practical, we will give you notice and a chance to fix the issue first. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including content licence wind-down, disclaimers, liability, and indemnity) continue to apply.

12. Disclaimers #

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that AI-generated content will be accurate or effective, or that using Social8 will produce any particular business result.

13. Limitation of liability #

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Social8 and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Indemnity #

You agree to indemnify and hold Social8 harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, your violation of a connected platform's terms, or your violation of applicable law.

15. Changes to these terms #

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, legal requirements, or changes required by a connected platform. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (such as by email or an in-app notice). Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law #

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where Social8 is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, unless a mandatory local consumer-protection law gives you additional rights that cannot be waived.

17. Contact #

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
