Acceptable Use Policy

Overview #

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everything created, scheduled, or published through Social8, whether written by you or generated with AI assistance and approved by you. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Prohibited content #

You may not use Social8 to create, schedule, or publish content that:

• Is illegal, or promotes illegal activity, in a place it would be published or received.
• Infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.
• Is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or threatens or incites violence against a person or group.
• Is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way.
• Contains malware, phishing links, or content designed to compromise a reader's device or accounts.
• Impersonates a real person or organisation you are not authorised to represent.

Genuine representation #

Social8 is built around honest business content, not manufactured hype. You may not use Social8 to:

• Publish fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, or invented customer stories as if they were genuine.
• Make misleading claims about your products, services, prices, availability, or results (for example, health, income, or safety claims you cannot support).
• Misrepresent AI-generated images as unedited photographs of real products, locations, or people where that would mislead a reasonable customer.
• Run schemes designed to inflate followers, likes, views, or engagement artificially.

Platform rules #

You must follow the rules of every platform you connect through Social8, including each platform's advertising, community, and developer policies, in addition to this Policy and our Terms. Where a platform requires a specific step before publishing — such as TikTok's preview-and-consent step for Direct Post — you must complete it honestly and not attempt to bypass or automate around it.

Automation and abuse #

You may not use Social8, or attempt to use it, to:

• Send spam, or publish the same or near-identical content across accounts or platforms in a way designed to manipulate reach or search ranking rather than inform real customers.
• Exceed, circumvent, or abuse the rate limits, quotas, or automation permissions granted by a connected platform's API.
• Access or attempt to access accounts, tokens, or data you are not authorised to use.
• Probe, scan, or interfere with the security or normal operation of Social8 or the platforms it connects to.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as if it were your own product, without our written agreement.

Enforcement #

We may remove content, disconnect a platform, or suspend or terminate an account that breaches this Policy, as described in the Suspension and Termination section of our Terms of Service. Where a connected platform requires us to act on a report or violation, we will do so.
